Liposuction is a surgical procedure designed to remove the extra fat from various areas of your body through small incisions with the use of a suction cannula.
Before your liposuction:
During your consultation, Dr. Humble, a Houston Liposuction surgeon will discuss with you your surgical options. This includes planning for the areas where fat is to be removed and the potential complications of the surgery. With your input an appropriate surgical plan will be formulated.
Liposuction Houston procedure:
Liposuction surgery is performed in a certified surgical center under general anesthesia. The length of the surgery varies with the amount and the number of areas you wish to have treated.
Liposuction recovery:
Post liposuction discomfort is managed with oral pain medication and close follow up will be preformed by Dr. Humble. No sutures have to be removed since the sutures typically will be absorbable.
Patients typically return to work 1 week after their operation and aerobic exercise can be restarted 4 weeks after surgery.
