What is Blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty or Eyelid Surgery is designed to remove extra skin and fat from your eyelids giving you a younger, more natural appearance. Some of the most notable signs of an aging around the eyes are wrinkles, extra skin, and pockets of fat. Eyelid surgery can help erase the tired look around your eyes making you look more refreshed and rested.
Before your Blepharoplasty/ Eye Lid surgery:
During your consultation Dr. Humble will determine what type of eyelid surgery required to accomplish your goals. Some individuals only need extra skin removed, while others need contouring of the fat in the eyelid.
Eye Lid surgery:
Eyelid surgery is performed in a certified surgical center under general anesthesia. The surgery typically takes 1-2 hours and patients are sent home the same day.
Blepharoplasty Recovery:
Post eyelid surgical discomfort is managed with oral pain medication and close follow up will be preformed by Dr. Humble. Sutures will be removed 3-5 days after surgery.
Patients typically return to work 1 week after their operation and aerobic exercise can be restarted one month after surgery.
