What is Radiesse?

Radiesse dermal filler is made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel that can be injected into your face to correct age associated loss of volume. These microspheres are eventually broken down and excreted from your body stimulating your own body to produce new collagen. Radiesse can be used to augment soft tissue by building up one's cheek bones, filling in laugh lines, or replacing facial fat that is lost during the aging process.
What to expect during the Radiesse injection:
Patients are given a local anesthetic to provide painless injection of Radiesse. The injection process takes approximately 15 minutes. The results are immediate.
Instructions after Radiesse injections:
Cold compress can be used for comfort. Avoid aspirin, St. John’s Wort, and high doses of vitamin E for one week after treatment.
How long does Radiesse last?
Radiesse can last up to a year or more for many patients.
