After care is relatively simple and involves being gentle with your recently operated ear and applying antibiotic ointment over the stitches. Most patients will have their sutures removed in two weeks at their follow up appointment. We also recommend avoiding direct sun exposure and immersing (bath tubs, pools, oceans, etc) in water while your ear is healing.

In most all cases, you should be able to get back to your normal routine and activities that same day. However, if you plan on piercing or re-piercing the lobe, you should wait a minimum of 8 weeks to do so.

Even though earlobe repair is fairly simple, we will make you as comfortable as possible with local anesthesia. The doctor will may recommend pain medication for possible minimal pain in the days following the procedure.
